Brandon Martz, a senior at Catalina Foothills High in Arizona, placed second in the boys sweepstakes race at the 16th Desert Twilight Festival by covering the 5-kilometer course in 15:10.1 at the Coyote Run Golf Course at Leisure World in Mesa, Ariz.
